An Update from DJ Adree

🙏  I want to say a little prayer before I begin blogging, for being very grateful and honored to be playing music for the public. Please GOD hear our prayer and bring covid to an end! It's been quite some time since my last post. I feel almost embarrassed. It's been a busy but really productive year music and career wise. I now have my own radio show in San Pedro, CA called the Funk Angel Radio Show and it's on 100.7 FM KCLA-LP it actually hasn't launched yet so it's still in production at the moment and everyone should expect it's arrival around June. Thanks for your patience.  Also another milestone coming up, I'm going to be a returning guest on Soundwaves Radio KPFK 90.7 FM shout out to DJ Val the Vandle. That will be on Feb. 27th 2021. Archived in history along with my March 23, 2019 radio debut. I've had several radio spots since. Each one a new and exciting opportunity I could say I accomplished and learned from.  I have joined forces with the FU

A Personal Blog Entry in regards to my music style & taste.

Whoever is reading this in blog land, I hope this entry helps you become familiar with my style of music and taste and why I mix what I mix. For example, I just did a slow mix but the song selection is so multi-genre, that it is really crazy. Here is the track-listing: -  J Cole Neighbors Instrumental One Summer Night - The Danleers Mariah Carey - Breakdown the equatics walk on by 1972 patsy cline - crazy Phil Ranelin - Vibes From The Tribe Chaka Khan and Rufus - Tell me something Good Nightmares on Wax - Passion The Sly Slick and Wicked - Hey Love Hit It and Quit It Kendrick Lamar - HUMBLE. Keith Sweat - I'll Give All My Love to You Mike Jones - Still Tippin(instrumental) The Budos Band - T.I.B.W.F. (2005) Mos Def - Kalifornia Ribbon In The Sky Lyrics - Stevie Wonder Bobby Oroza - Should I Take You Home - side b So it's obvious why as you could read how all over the place these songs are together. However, they all work so harmoniously t

My Creative Careers Colliding with Personal Life.

I want to do a mid life autobiography. Is that weird? I have a lot to say. A lot of questions that the public might have, I would like to answer those questions. I'm pretty sure that IS a thing. Perhaps I should do more homework upon that though lol. In all seriousness though, I would like to pursue that side of art. Books are a dying breed. I went into Barnes and Noble recently and felt such a happiness come over me and also a sadness at the same time. It's become obsolete to actually go into a book store and buy a book and then go home open it up and read it. Everything is digital now-a-days and it's not likely that people still enjoy the book reading experience. I would like to do that with a mid-career non-fiction novel. I would have to think long and hard about what I would name it. It would have to be super punk-rock and unique, also it couldn't be anything that most people would expect of me. It would have to have some sort of shock value. It seems that everyone

DJ Adree

It may come to all of you as some sort of surprise, however, yes you are reading this correctly. I can mix songs on 2 turntables. My name is DJ Adree and I was inspired to continue my musical pursuits after a loss of a dear friend 2 years ago. I began remembering the skill I started to practice in 2007 and basically picked up where I left off. Boy did I leave it off. I took a 3 year break from it and perhaps that's what was meant to be at the time. I have big dreams, but unfortunately with this dj thing...I'm afraid I'm too late in that game. I'm 39 just starting my dj career? Sounds strange, but it took me a while to get the hang of the turntables, especially not having real turntables for the whole duration for the pre-debut years.
