An Update from DJ Adree

🙏 I want to say a little prayer before I begin blogging, for being very grateful and honored to be playing music for the public. Please GOD hear our prayer and bring covid to an end!

It's been quite some time since my last post. I feel almost embarrassed. It's been a busy but really productive year music and career wise. I now have my own radio show in San Pedro, CA called the Funk Angel Radio Show and it's on 100.7 FM KCLA-LP it actually hasn't launched yet so it's still in production at the moment and everyone should expect it's arrival around June. Thanks for your patience.

Also another milestone coming up, I'm going to be a returning guest on Soundwaves Radio KPFK 90.7 FM shout out to DJ Val the Vandle. That will be on Feb. 27th 2021. Archived in history along with my March 23, 2019 radio debut. I've had several radio spots since. Each one a new and exciting opportunity I could say I accomplished and learned from.

I have joined forces with the FUNK FELLAS RADIO crew big shout out to DJ Medina who basically took me under his wing and gave me a chance. I'm doing regular mixes for that radio show which airs online only but also world-wide with about 29,000 listeners. Very excited to be onboard with the Funk Fellas Crew. We are all music heads that love funk music so it's right up my alley. http://funkfellasradio.com is the address to go to listen to my mixes on there. I'm at the moment working on a set that I will drop soon for http://dublab.com huge shout out to Danny Holloway, my dear friend in this game of music. A legendary roots reggae record man with the best stories ever! Dublab is a major milestone with about 50,000 followers on Instagram so I'm looking forward to that opportunity as well. I have been summoned by the party GODS to play and travel and yes get paid for my services, hopefully soon but I can't wait until my hobby becomes an income and it looks like it's headed that way so I'm really stoked about that. It feels good that my hard work paid off. I just expected to pay off, I really did not expect DJ Medina to speak about me like he did the other day on the show. I was very honored to hear those words spoken about me because this is the first time I'm recognized for my talents and style and the unique flare I bring to the funk table. It's very rewarding and did I say exciting? lol.

My Creative Careers Colliding with Personal Life.

I want to do a mid life autobiography. Is that weird? I have a lot to say. A lot of questions that the public might have, I would like to answer those questions. I'm pretty sure that IS a thing. Perhaps I should do more homework upon that though lol. In all seriousness though, I would like to pursue that side of art. Books are a dying breed. I went into Barnes and Noble recently and felt such a happiness come over me and also a sadness at the same time. It's become obsolete to actually go into a book store and buy a book and then go home open it up and read it. Everything is digital now-a-days and it's not likely that people still enjoy the book reading experience. I would like to do that with a mid-career non-fiction novel. I would have to think long and hard about what I would name it. It would have to be super punk-rock and unique, also it couldn't be anything that most people would expect of me. It would have to have some sort of shock value. It seems that everyone ...

Welcome to my magical world of music!

>I am recently #25 on the Global Mash Up Charts on Mixcloud. Every minute, over three hours of content is uploaded to Mixcloud by creators across the globe. More than 20 million people from almost every country listen to these shows every month. Over 15 million radio shows, DJ mixes and podcasts exist on Mixcloud, spanning every genre and theme you can think of.  Creators, follow these pro tips to increase the likelihood of your shows doing well in the charts: Upload consistently.  It’s no secret– the best way to improve your chart positions is to upload quality content more frequently. Uploading a show weekly will give your listeners something to look out for and keep them coming back. Tag accordingly.  How you tag your shows is important. The genre tags you choose after you upload determine which category search results your show will appear in, and this directly impacts where it appears in the charts. Make sure you use popular and accurate tags tha...
